Hi! 😊
I’m Pranav Manjunath, a Biomedical Engineering PhD candidate at Duke University in Dr. Timothy Dunn’s lab (t.Dunn Lab). My research focuses on developing multimodal, explainable medical AI systems—integrating medical imaging, clinical text, and patient data—to enhance decision support for traumatic brain injury (TBI) care. I collaborate closely with clinicians to integrate their knowledge and expertise into the design of effective multimodal AI algorithms through mixed‑methods research.
Starting Fall 2025, I will be a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University in the Data Interactions Group (DIG) with Dr. Adam Perer. I will design clinician‑facing AI interfaces and conduct mixed‑methods studies to evaluate how AI‑driven decision‑support tools integrate into and enhance TBI care workflows.
Interests: Multimodal Medical AI, Clinician–AI Interaction
I am also a professional violinist trained in Indian classical Carnatic music, actively performing and teaching. I’m part of the Boston Brothers, a violin‑duet band performing classical, fusion, and film‑based shows around the world. More about my music!
